WORK EXPERIENCE

Blue Sky Studios, Senior Animator                                                                      Oct 2011 - Present

Initially hired as a temp animator and quickly promoted to full-time staff animator on my first Blue Sky film.  Over the course of employment, received increased levels of responsibility and leadership.

"Nimona" - Senior Animator

  • Work contributions were limited to animating one production shot and several test shots.

"Unannounced Short" - Lead Animator

  • Led a sequence team of 6 animators, providing shot feedback and communicating director's vision, while also producing quota of my own.

"Spies In Disguise" - Senior Animator

  • Character lead for Lance (main character) which involves setting up a character "bible", character pose library, and daily rounds with animators to maintain "on model" consistency.

"Ferdinand" - Senior Animator

  • Character lead for Valiente which involves setting up a character "bible", character pose library, and daily rounds with animators to maintain "on model" consistency.

"Ice Age: Collision Course" - Senior Animator

  • Pod lead for 6-8 animators, where I helped in a mentorship capacity by giving feedback and input on a daily basis.

"The Peanuts Movie" - Animator

  • Character lead for the main character, Charlie Brown, which involves setting up a character "bible", character pose library, and daily rounds with animators to maintain "on model" consistency.

Responsible for animating in-game character models.  Worked closely with designers and FX artists to create the best quality animations possible.  Hired as a junior animator and promoted to animator in Jan. '09.  Shipped titles include: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 (Xbox360 & PS3), DLC for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure (3DS)

American Animation Studios, Lead Animator                                                 July 2006 - Mar 2008

Responsible for animating as many as 600 frames a week, assigning other animators shots and working closely with the art director to complete strict animation deadlines.  Hired as an animator and promoted to lead animator in June of 2007.

Taught Class 5 "Character Performance", the first acting test with dialogue for students.  Responsible for teaching a 1-2 hour live lecture and/or demo class along with a 2-3 hour live critique session each week for 6-10 students.
